Dive deep into your self-care and ride the waves to a stronger and more resilient mind
Navigating life post college can be really overwhelming; career, family, friends , love, your own unresolved childhood traumas… all of this can become to much for anyone.
That’s where having someone that you can talk to about it without fear is useful. You can vent your worries and receive the support you deserve.
Welcome! I’m Jenna
I’m a licensed clinical social worker, and I support individual people through one-to-one, private sessions.
I am based in Charleston, SC, born and bred in the Bronx of New York City!
Sessions can be local to the Lowcountry or online
I help individuals navigate things like…
anxiety depression trauma PTSD
career changes identity development relationships
& in general, the transitions of life
Many people, especially millennials, come to see me as they experience changes in their lives — such as a career transition, grief , heartache, adjusting to life outside of school, or learning to balance the responsibilities of motherhood.
I offer a light hearted, approachable, and down to earth experience during sessions. Making sure my clients feel heard is my number one priority. I want to be a part of a new wave of therapists who are more personally connected with our clients, more honest about our own imperfections, and more accepting of each person’s unique point of view.
Empower your relationship with your mental health, so you can find confidence & clarity with techniques like…
mindfulness · CBT · psychodynamic talk therapy
The purpose of therapy is not to "fix" you — it’s to help you develop a new relationship with yourself and the world.
Therapy can be a regular part of your well-being. Just like we have maintain our cars and our kitchens, our own bodies and minds need regular care and space to process — you don’t need to go to therapy just when you’re in crisis. Therapy can simply be a consistent, safe space to reflect and process the ups and downs of life. I become a neutral third-party, a mirror or sounding board to help you reflect and gain clearer perspective.
“I talk to you the same way I talk to anyone else.”
I am not the expert in the room — you are the expert on your life. Rather than advising you from atop the mountain, I walk the path with you. My practice is based on firsthand lived experiences, not just textbook knowledge.
Clinical training gave me skills, but real life shows me how to use them.
I may have additional tools, but at the end of the day I am a human being learning and growing just like you.
Together, we'll discover what strategies work best for you.
It’s important that you find techniques that work for you — your experiences, your lifestyle, your body and mind. Alongside more traditional psychodynamic talk therapy and popular techniques like CBT, I also share mindfulness practices to help people become more aware of our thoughts and therefore make more deliberate choices.
I bring a variety of approaches to the table, so we can try different things and see what works for you. Just like one pair of jeans doesn’t fits each of us perfectly the same, mental health care is not one-size-fits-all! Everyone is unique and I aim to support the differences in my clients.
I will of course encourage you to go outside your comfort zone, but I also emphasize the importance of doing what feels good for you. Mental healthcare is not one-size-fits-all, and I recognize that you are an individual, multi-dimensional, changing and complex human with different needs and life experiences than anyone else I work with!
